Election Results 2016: Promise of a Better Life for the Filipino

Out of 54.6 million registered voters for 2016 Presidential elections, a historic high of 81.62% went to the polls, according to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) reports.

The voters’ enthusiasm to join in the elections is in itself a marvel to behold. In a young voting population, there is a great clamor for change that should be sufficient for Filipinos to enable them to live and work decently in their own land. That, according to the election results, could be possible under the leadership of the most unconventional and controversial Presidential candidate - Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte.
